Welcome

Welcome to the Spock/McCoy Archive, a fan-run archive of all Spock/McCoy stories on the Internet.

If you're an author, please make an account so you can uploaded your stories. If you're a reader, please feel free to read through the archives at your leisure; there's plenty to see and enjoy.

Make yourselves at home!

Notice to Authors: The TinyMCE Editor provided with the eFiction archive appears to be incompatible with newer versions of Internet Explorer. Using it results in your story failing to post. You can turn off the feature via the "Edit Preferences" in your Account. TinyMCE Editor was also tested and found to function as expected in Firefox and Chrome. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Site News
Apologies to anyone still around on this site

When I started this little site I did not mean to become an absentee owner/administrator, but life had other plans. And while I have tried to at least keep the site up and available, I am afraid that my absence in the last two years had spammers hitting hard.

I have done a clean up of the site over the last little while, especially in the members section which had been overrun with fake accounts. I do hope I didn't delete any valid members, but if I did I am truly sorry. Should you need to re-register and have become disconected from stories you have added, let me know and I will get you new account associated with them.

I have added a secondary challenge to the registration that should hopefully greatly reduce these accounts and should be in a better position to handle them when they do get through. AS well, there is a suggested addtion to this platform that I will look into adding should my registration at the efiction.org community get approved. I would look at updating as well, but we are only one release behind the current stable version.

Safari, tinyMCE and Pasting

If you attempt to paste in to a tinyMCE Text field using the Paste option when you right click, you will receive a message telling you that Safari doesn't support this function. The message does suggest using the keyboard short cut (ctrl v) for pasting and testing has shown that this option will work.

Some Good News for IE Users

Well, this is a little embarassing given the number of times I typed the word incompatible when discussing Internet Explorer. If you wish use the tinyMCE Editor in the newer  Internet Explorer, simply click on Compatibility View icon in the address bar (it looks like a torn piece of paper) to the left of the Refresh and Stop icons. It should turn a darker shade when the feature has ben turned on. Depending on how you have your browsing history maintenance set up, you may only need to do this once.

My apologies, I rarely use Internet Explorer and had completely forgotten the feature existed.
